The MX5 has the power to place substantial loads through its wheels during acceleration, cornering, and repeated braking. Blackline wheels combine high-strength materials with precision in-house assembly to remain responsive and composed when riding conditions become more demanding.
The wheels arrive without tires installed, giving you complete control over tire profile and compound selection. A Ready-To-Ride Blackline system is also available with compatible tires and components professionally installed for riders who want a turnkey package.
Wheel Size and Rim Width Options
Blackline Supermoto Wheelsets are available in multiple diameter and rim-width configurations to support different tire profiles, bike platforms, and handling preferences. Compatible wheel choices are automatically filtered after you select your bike model. If an option is marked “Unavailable,” it cannot currently be ordered for that selection.

Rim width changes the mounted shape of the tire and how the bike handles. A narrower setup generally feels faster during side-to-side transitions. A wider rear rim can increase the available contact patch and provide a more planted feel under acceleration and through corners. Every Blackline wheelset is hand-assembled, precision-trued, and fully inspected in-house by the Rippin Moto team. Hub alignment, spoke tension, wheel runout, and final finish are carefully checked during the build process.
Accurate runout and balanced spoke tension help the wheels respond consistently as pavement loads change. This supports precise steering, predictable cornering, and improved stability during hard braking and higher-speed riding.
